It's All About Presentation

One rule of thumb that I firmly believe in is: It's all about presentation. This can be applied to absolutely anything, not just for a business, but your report in school, invitations, how you display photographs, etc. In this case, it's the New Patient Welcome Packet that was created for Dr. Ned Windmiller and Dr. Carissa Knutson. When you remove the brochure from the chocolate colored envelope the cover feels like suede, and very luxurious to the touch. The content is very informative, from services offered, about the dentists, to testimonials and payment plans. In the back of the brochure are forms that people usually fill out upon arrival. These are mailed to the patient to fill out at their leisure, to be brought in at their first visit. There is also an impressive DVD showcasing Before & After Smiles of Drs. Windmiller & Knutson's patients.

Their office is in Stillwater, Minnesota and has recently been remodeled, offering a gorgeous setting that is nearly spa-like. You forget you are there to see the dentist when you are offered a bottled water upon arrival and are given a hand massage once seated in the dental chair. It's a very comfortable place to go for the dentist, which is hard to find. The words comfortable and dentist aren't usually used in the same sentence! Some might think I am a bit biased considering Ned Windmiller is indeed my father, but I am treated like everyone else there, and the customer service is phenomenal. If you are interested in learning more, please click here and I will send you a new patient packet, I am sure you will not only be impressed by the packet itself, but the services that are offered inside.

Beautiful Image "La Bella Figura"

After running around town gathering beautiful images that are "must haves" for summer, this beautiful image was created for Artful Living magazine, photograph taken by Jenn Cress. After making many great connections with local boutiques, I also learned about an amazing couple that sells vintage sunglasses online. These people are fantastic. Check out their website: glasseswebb.com The sunglasses are my favorite item on this page. Ciao bella!

Rhonda Jackson: Make Up Artist | Jenn Cress: Photographer

I had the opportunity to assist at a photo shoot this summer with two extremely talented women. Rhonda Jackson and Jenn Cress. These are the women behind the scenes of what made this photo shoot a huge success!! Although Lalita (the model) is a gorgeous woman all on her own, Jenn and Rhonda were able to create the exact style we were looking for through make up and photography. This is the outcome:

I want to promote these ladies as much as I possibly can because they are just THAT GOOD! I highly recommend them. Here is their contact information, they are amazing people to work with:

James de Givenchy

James de Givenchy is a jewelry designer and creative director for Sotheby's diamonds. Artful Living magazine wrote an article on him in their Spring issue this year. (This is the magazine I do all of the design/layout work for - my design work is revealed above). I enjoyed his jewelry so much, and his appreciation for rarity I wanted to post it on my blog to share with others. The combination of diamonds and rubber - so daring, yet so sophisticated. 'Tis the Season for Weddings!

The invitations are what set the theme for your wedding. There are infinite possibilities on how you can create them, from e-vites to extravagant layers of papers, die cutting and detailing. Some of the most important people in my life are getting married this summer, and I have had the honor of helping with their wedding invites. Wedding invites are quite personal, they reveal a sense of style for the bride and groom. I have included a few examples of the simple text used for some invitations I am working on, and it just goes to show it's the paper and presentation that makes such a difference! Although I would like to think the layout of the text is crucial as well, these images don't do the invites justice without the beautiful paper that surrounds the text. Click on the images for larger view.
Windmiller Design Group loves to help with wedding invitations, all the way down to the perfect paper color, appropriate envelopes, and minute detailing. Let us help you create the most appropriate style for your big day!
